Unlike conventional rust preventives that are water-displacing (wax paper), water-absorbing (clay or silica), dehumidification, and barrier products (LDPE/HDPE) try to alter an ever-changing environment surrounding the metal, VCI technology passivates the metal's surface as well as deactivates the humidity surrounding the metal components.

RD-20 Universal VCI Film
DEC RD-20 unniversal VCI film products provide proven corrosion protection. Through volatilization and contact, the nitrite-free VCI chemicals protect metal parts against the corrosive effects of moisture, salt and other contaminants while they are in process, storage or transit.

RD-28 VCI Paper
RD-28 VCI Paper DEC has several weights of kraft, plain or barrier coated papers to protect against moisture and grease. Laminated grades are available with polyethylene for heavy duty protection against the environment as well.

RD-40 Universal VCI Powder
DEC is water-soluble powder with Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor for wet or dry corrosion protection of ferrous metals and non-ferrous metals in recessed areas, interior cavities and voids.
